"Sloan appears as the artist’s doppelganger... as an angelic figure hanging from the doorway of a Roman palazzo". This is probably the most famous picture of Francesca Woodman. This one too, as the previous one, was shot in Italy, in Rome. This picture belongs to the Angel series of Francesca Woodman, and again the artist shows a spectacular way to process the many inputs in terms of art history coming from her Italian summers (churches, crucifixions, and more) with the psycoanalitic background so typical of American intellectuals of the seventies. The long lasting influence of this work is shown by the 2007 'appropriation' of Maurizio Cattelan, one of the best contemporary Italian artist.

Anche questa immagine, come la precedente, è stata scattata in Italia, a Roma. Fa parte della serie Angeli di Francesca Woodman, e di nuovo l'artista mostra una spettacolare abilita' ad elaborare gli stimoli in termini di storia dell'arte provenienti dalle sue estati italiane (chiese, crocifissioni, e altro) con il background psicoanalitico così tipico di American intellettuali degli anni settanta. L'influenza di lunga durata di quest'opera è dimostrata dalla 'appropriazione' di Maurizio Cattelan del 2007, uno dei migliori artisti italiani contemporanei.
