The paintings above are only 2 years apart, clearly remarking the huge difference between the Italian and the German Reinassance. Again, although the German painting is almost medieval in stylistic terms as compared to the Italian one, Cranach is able to achieve a directness and sensuality in his paintings that is often not present in the Italian renaissance. Sometimes beauty can be cold, and imperfection is sensual...

I dipinti qui sopra sono stati concepiti a solo 2 anni di distanza, ma dimostrano chiaramente l'enorme differenza tra il Rinascimento italiano e tedesco. Come detto in precendenza, anche se l'opera del pittore tedesco è quasi medievale, in termini stilistici, rispetto a quello italiano, Cranach è in grado di raggiungere una immediatezza e la sensualità nei suoi dipinti che spesso non è presente nel Rinascimento italiano. A volte la bellezza può essere fredda, e l'imperfezione e' sensuale...
