John James Audubon, Birds of America, 1827
A copy of the book John James Audubon’s "Birds of America" will go up for auction at Sotheby’s this December, and it is estimated to fetch between £4 million and £6 million. The book is one of the 100 copies left, measures over three feet by two feet because Audubon depicted the birds life-size, and is the most expensive book on the market.
